PRP HAIR RESTORATION
REGROW LOST HAIR.
STIMULATE HAIR GROWTH.PRP Hair Restoration is a revolutionary procedure for millions of men and women facing premature hair loss. PRP Hair Restoration uses your own Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and injects it back into the scalp to encourage new hair growth.
The application of PRP causes miniaturized hair follicles to enlarge, stimulating the hair regrowth process.
THE CAUSES OF HAIR LOSS
Alopecia, also known as hair loss, is a condition that affects over 40% of women by age 40 and 85% of men by age 50.
Hair loss can be the result of heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions or medications. Anyone — men, women and children — can experience hair loss.

Process & Results
Step 1.The ConsultationConsultations are performed by our physicians and licensed nurse practitioners. If desired, we will perform your first treatment on the day of your consultation.Step 2.Prepare the PRPFirst, your blood will be drawn. Using a centrifuge, the blood will be spun to isolate platelets (also known as platelet rich plasma, or PRP). This portion takes approximately 15 minutes in the office.Step 3.Inject into the ScalpThe PRP is then administered via a series of injections into the scalp. The injections will be concentrated in the areas with the most hair thinning; however, the PRP will diffuse underneath the scalp surface to treat areas distal to the injection site. For pain control, we utilize the Zimmer Cooler and a vibratory device to distract your pain receptors. The injections take approximately 10 minutes to complete.Step 4.RecoveryThe recovery from the procedure is typically uneventful. It is common to feel soreness in the scalp, usually resolved in less than a day. We encourage you to take a hot shower the day of the procedure, this will improve blood flow to the scalp. We recommend avoiding non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, such as Advil, Aleve, Ibuprofen, for 72 hours.Step 5.RepeatOur treatment protocol consists of 1 treatment every month for 3 months (this is considered a “loading dose” of PRP), followed by 1 treatment every 3 months until reach desired hair growth.Step 6.ResultsNew hair growth can be seen as early as two months, but is typically evident between four to eight months and will continue to improve up to a year after treatment. Every patient will need maintenance treatments, at least on an annual basis, but sometimes more frequently.
HOW DOES PRP HAIR RESTORATION WORK?
What is PRP? Platelet Rich Plasma, PRP, is created from a small sample of the patient’s blood that is spun in a centrifuge and divided into its separate components. Activation of the PRP results in release of at least 8 different growth factors that would normally be used to heal injured tissue. These growth factors work like magic to promote angiogenesis (or the formation of new blood vessels), improve blood flow, and are the key to rejuvenating the hair follicle and stimulating local cell growth.
The concentrated platelets in PRP contain bioactive proteins, including the growth factors PDGF (platelet derived growth factor) and VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor). These growth factors initiate and accelerate tissue repair, and have also been shown to have positive effects for hair loss. This safe and effective therapy has been around for decades and used successfully in the science of healing wounds and injuries, most notably with thousands of published papers related to PRP and orthopedic surgery.
